Australian gaming operator Tabcorp has agreed to purchase listed wagering technology provider BetMakers Technology Group for AU$267 million. The transaction, announced on August 10, 2026, involves acquiring all outstanding shares at a price of $0.24 per unit.
The acquisition aims to update Tabcorp’s internal technology infrastructure while establishing a dedicated business-to-business division. Company leadership indicated that integrating BetMakers’ platforms with existing content rights and customer networks will expand market reach. Both organizations have executed a binding Scheme Implementation Deed, with final approval targeted for the third quarter of 2027.
Technology Assets and Financial Performance
BetMakers contributes the Apollo wagering platform and RaceOdds horse racing solutions to the combined entity. The supplier recently completed its purchase of the Las Vegas Dissemination Company and maintains active partnerships with Betfair Australia, which operates CrownBet, and evoke in the United Kingdom. During the fourth quarter of 2026, reported in late July, BetMakers recorded revenue of $24.2m, representing a 9.4 percent increase, alongside adjusted EBITDA of $4.5m, up $2.1m or 89 percent from the prior period.
Tabcorp chief executive Gillon McLachlan stated that the transaction will advance the company’s strategic objectives across several operational segments. BetMakers chief executive Jake Henson noted that merging wagering platforms with established media and retail networks will form a unified global service structure.
