UK Dealer Championships organizers plan two-day event for 2027

David McClatchey and Amanda Hives have assumed responsibility for the UK Dealer Championships. The new organizing team intends to expand the tournament, which is part of the London Gaming Show, into a two-day event for the 2027 edition.

The leadership transition follows the promotion of Mo Salih to director of live table gaming at the Hippodrome. McClatchey, a gaming manager at the Hippodrome, has collaborated with Salih for 15 years regarding the competition. Hives joins the effort as a gaming coordinator at Grosvenor Casino.

Background and Future Plans

The tournament previously utilized host clubs such as the Hippodrome and The Ricoh Coventry before moving to the EAG 360 venue. Hives brings experience from managing the NDSC Grosvenor competition across 49 UK clubs. She has supported the UK Dealer Championships in a capacity role for the past three years.

The organizers aim to broaden the championship scope. The proposed schedule extension would allow more time to demonstrate dealer skills. The team is also considering activities for EAG visitors to test casino mechanics.

The London Gaming Show is scheduled to take place from January 12 to 14, 2027.
