Alberta’s regulated online gambling market officially launched on Monday, July 13. The province’s new multi-license framework enabled 22 platforms to begin operations on the first day.
Platform Rollout and Licensing Structure
The initial release includes established operators such as FanDuel, DraftKings, bet365, and BetMGM. These services now operate under the province’s newly implemented licensing structure, which allows multiple providers to compete within the region.
Additional operators are scheduled to join the market in the following weeks. Regulatory approvals for the remaining platforms are currently being processed under the same licensing system.
